Cap’n Crunch turned 60 and was undergoing a transformation that was big to him - finally getting the elusive 4th stripe on his sleeve, signaling that he is in fact a real captain. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Cap’n turned to his legion of super fans who always defended his captain status.
Ahead of the reveal, we teased the new uniform in epic superhero-inspired fashion, with a “Fourever” teaser poster in the style of your favorite Marvel movie. We then flooded the pop culture playground of San Diego’s Comic Con with 60 cosplaying Cap’n’s, all showing off that beautiful 4th stripe.
Comic Con attendees, fans, and San Diego citizens alike were surprised and delighted at the sight of 60 Cap’n Crunch fans parading through the streets to kick off the yearly event and media was just as enthralled, with over 450 earned placements dedicated to the Cap’n’s new look.
