The moment I realized I looked like Benjamin Franklin was the first day of the rest of my life.
If I had a $100 bill for every time someone said, “Wow, you look like Benjamin Franklin!” I’d have at least $100.
What started as a Halloween costume, became an ongoing hobby—nay—obsession. While I haven’t been Ben for a while, it was fun while it lasted. And if a photo is worth a thousand words, these are priceless…or at least worth a Benjamin.

For three years, while I worked in downtown Detroit, I volunteered with an incredible organization: Read to a Child.
Once a week, during lunchtime, we’d visit a local school in our community and, surprise, surprise! We’d read to a child.
I was privileged to partner with the same child over the course of my volunteer time and witness amazing growth and progress. I highlighted my experience in a blog post for my company here: FleishmanHillard in Detroit Goes Back to School.
